Found a home!
Young, unraced, cat-friendly Greyhound girl
Clover is a young greyhound girl who is just 18 months old.
She came over from Ireland to Casteldon Greyhound
Rescue just before Christmas. She was in a very sorry state indeed. Very under-weight with no muscle tone on her body - she had clearly been kept in very poor conditions. A very sad little girl and
in desperate need of lots of tlc.
The best place for Clover was going to be in a home environment rather than kennels, so i arranged for her to go into foster care just after Christmas with Ian
& Craig who already have 2 Castledon Greyhounds.
Clover is now ready to move on to a permanent home & hopefully find her forever family.
Ian has written a bit about Clover & the type of home she is looking for......
"If you are looking for a laid back typical greyhound Clover is not for you - she is a bundle of energy who will benefit from an active household with another dog in residence. She is happy to cuddle up with you on the couch but loves her walks too. I've let her off leash in an enclosed area and she charges about like a loon but always keeps one eye on you - I think with the right training she will be a great off lead dog. She is friendly with every dog of any size that she's met and keen to meet and say hello to passersby. She travels well in the car and settles quickly. She loves her food but waits her turn at her spot in the kitchen for her bowl. She was not house-trained when she arrived but now only has an occasional accident on a towel by the back door if you are not up early enough in the morning - she is an early riser!!
Ideally her new home would have a resident steady dog and a garden for her to explore. She is still learning about the outside world and will need time and understanding to adjust to her new home. Given time she is going to blossom into a fantastic dog who will give her new family many years of love"
Clover is also able to live with cats
